Women, let’s stop slut-shaming each other and let’s definitely stop slut-shaming those that work in the sex industry. Just because a woman chooses to be a professional escort, porn star, stripper, burlesque dancer, cam girl, or the lady you see on the street corner offering blow jobs, it doesn’t mean they are a slut.

We like to label things because it makes us feel better about ourselves. If you’re sexually active and safe, who cares if you sleep with one guy or one hundred in a night. Get it on. Just be safe about it.

Those who are not in the sex industry are quick to call someone who gets paid for sex a slut because it is easy to brand that woman for having sex.

Stop being so jealous. If you could get paid for getting it on like Donkey Kong, you know you would. You just don’t have the courage to do it.

We should actually look up to and thank the sex industry workers because they are usually confident, headstrong and determined women. Yes, there are back stories and sob stories and such but what about the determined escort who worked hard and is now retired at the tender age of 30 in Belize sitting on a bank account that could fund a small country or what about the one that danced her way through law school and is the most sought after defence attorney in your state that does pro-bono work for abused women?

Women, we never know the real back story of why anyone does what they do, but we can be a supportive system of sisterhood and applaud those that work in an industry where they’re usually treated like garbage by those who don’t agree with it. Just because you or someone doesn’t agree with it doesn’t mean it’s wrong.
